HOURS: Part Time 32.0 hours per fortnight
A great opportunity exists for a qualified Allied Health Assistant to secure a contract for part time hours with our Allied Health team. Applications are sought for a Grade 3 AHA role however applications for a Grade Two role will be considered. This role provides a great chance to use your professional skills in a new service and further your AHA experience within a large, multifaceted organisation.
In this role you will work in rotational positions across the Allied Health department you will provide a range of clinical and support services to Allied Health disciplines including Occupational therapy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Speech Pathology and Dietetics. Under the direction of an Allied Health Professional, key responsibilities will include providing clinical care to patients in individual or group settings, using screening tools to gather information, documenting client progress and managing supplies and equipment. The Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant role will also provide leadership and coordination for the AHA team on a daily basis.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Qualification as an Allied Health Assistant – minimum Certificate 3
An understanding of the physical and psychological aspects of rehabilitation care with the ability to treat, empathise with and provide person centred care to individuals
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills to enable effective liaison within a multi-disciplinary team and accurate documentation of case notes and statistics.
Effective time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
Proven ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
Sound keyboard and computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet, intranet and email applications.
A minimum 12 months Allied Health Assistance experience is preferred
