Settlement Services International (SSI) is a leading community-based not-for-profit organisation providing a range of services in the areas of refugee settlement, asylum seeker assistance, housing, multicultural foster care, disability support and employment services in NSW. Ignite facilitates business creation for people from refugee backgrounds who are keen to establish a small business or expand an existing one.

Aspiring entrepreneurs are supported by Ignite facilitators, business mentors and a Resource Team made up of volunteers from local businesses, councils, chambers of commerce and other individuals who can share their business knowledge and skills.


Provide high level administrative support to the IGNITE Global Manager to ensure the smooth functioning of the IGNITE and IGNITE Ability programs (including Ignite Canada


  • Provide administration support to IGNITE Global Manager on: procurement and ordering; accounts and credit card reconciliation; preparing and filing of documents, note and minute taking at meetings as requested; international travel and accommodation bookings; shipping product internationally
  • Be the first point of contact for clients and stakeholders accessing the Ignite Space and answer all Ignite and Ignite Ability enquiries in an efficient, friendly and professional manner.
  • Ensure that the IGNITE Space including the front garden remains presentable (clean and tidy) at all times.
  • Prepare data, divisional and other reports for the IGNITE Global Manager.
  • Manage electronic and paper filing of documents including client referrals and client records for internal and external stakeholders to a professional standard.
  • Provide high level customer service assistance for IGNITE facilitators, SSI staff, Ignite (Ability) clients and external stakeholders including support for large meetings, events and festivals


You will have Extensive experience in Administration and Office Support in an NGO, Govt or Corporate sector preferably with a Diploma in a related field. You will have Demonstrated experience in research and data reporting coupled with Excellent customer service, interpersonal skills and professional manner.

You will be highly computer literate with skills in Financial reconciliation and account keeping – including on-line accounts (COUPA), Organising international travel and accommodation, High level minute taking. Experience with technology for presentations is a must.
